McMinnville youth collective
The McMinnville Youth Collective (MYC) is a group of like-minded churches in the downtown McMinnville area who join together to do youth ministry.
MYC Youth Group
On Sunday evenings the MYC youth gather in the youth room at First Presbyterian Church for a lively time of games, music, discussion, prayer, and dinner. We give time for Middle School and High School to meet both individually and together. Our Middle Schoolers gather at 5:00 pm then end their time with dinner. The High Schoolers gather at 6:00 pm to eat dinner with the Middle Schoolers then go on to a time of just High Schoolers. Youth are given space for fellowship and friendships to develop in a fun and focused way, while also allowing space for students to dive deeper into discussions and topics that are more age specific.
Thank you to all who came and supported our trip with the MYC Pancake breakfast π₯ fundraiser!
Last night was MYC Game Night at MacCov. We played Protect Dolly Parton and Bear in the Woods, with some mind expanding trivia in the middle.

Service + earth care + a little bit of βwaitβ¦flies do WHAT?!β
This afternoon, 9 MYC students jumped in to serve alongside our communityβprepping cans and bottles for deposit return on behalf of Zero Waste McMinnville.
We learned practical ways to reduce single-use plastics at home, got a glimpse into sustainable & organic farming, and yesβ¦ learned more than we expected about the life cycle of flies (and theirβ¦ contributions π
).
Grateful for spaces that remind us that caring for creation is part of how we love our neighbors.
Huge thank you to Ramsey McPhillips, McPhillip Farms, Zero Waste McMinnville, and Tainable Labs for welcoming us into the farm lab today.
Last night at Youth Collective, we walked through the tradition of the Seven Last Words of Jesusβmoving through different stations and pausing at each one to reflect.
Seven short statements.
One powerful picture of love.
As we head toward Good Friday, weβre slowing down to really see it.
Which one stayed with you? π¬

Special Events
For families that have students in both Middle School and High School, we have space available for youth to hang out before or after their group meets so parents arenβt driving back and forth. Youth are encouraged to bring homework to work on or electronics they can quietly watch with headphones. This space is unsupervised and is a privilege for the youth.
